Both Mountcastle and Traders' Haven are just a half block from the magnificent Gulf of Mexico beach, seven unbroken miles of white sand beach! Historic Pass-a-grille is the narrow (just 1 block wide) southern end of St. Pete Beach, a barrier island at Tampa Bay. And, the intercoastal waterway is at the other end of each block. Location!-Location!-Location! MOUNTCASTLE:
Mountcastle is a private estate, a walled, beach compound (6 Bedrooms in the House, Master Suite, and Cottage), the home of a large family working overseas. This unique property is set in a jungle garden, just fifty meters from the white sands of the beautiful Pass-a-grille Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Light fills all parts of this home from glass walls, numerous windows and skylights. Oriental rugs and antique oak furniture add to the ambience. JUNGLE GARDENS:
Palms, bougainvillea, bananas, kapok, mahogany, mango, papaya, sea grapes, giant ferns, hibiscus and many other tropical plants lend beauty and privacy to this property. JACUZZI: A very large jacuzzi is included for our guests' enjoyment. - TRADERS' HAVEN: This 5 bedroom home occupies the entire second floor of the Mountcastle building on 8th Avenue in Pass-a-grille. The Mountcastles have operated a trading company for twenty years, and this apartment is unique, exotically decorated with oriental rugs and folk art from all continents of the world! TROPICAL GARDEN: A private jasmine garden with lush tropical plantings is a great place to relax. JACUZZI: A very large jacuzzi in the tropical garden is also provided to our guests at Traders' Haven.
- ENTRY:
The House is entered from the front door on the street or from within the walled compound. The Master Suite and Cottage are entered from within the compound entered through a locked gate. Traders' Haven is entered through locked doors at both the front (8th Avenue) and rear of the building. - PARKING: Mountcastle and Traders' Haven have private parking, a must at the beach, for three cars each.

HOUSE:
1. This two story House has a master bedroom with a king sized bed,a single bed and a balcony over the garden,
2. another large upstairs bedroom with two double beds,
3. a downstairs bedroom with a queen bed,
4. a second downstairs bedroom with a queen sized bed
5. upstairs and downstairs full bathrooms, and a third full bathroom in the Master Suite/Apartment
6. a large living room,
7. a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast table and kitchen deck,
8. a dining room,
9. and a sunroom off the main deck.
The beds in our house and other parts of the compound comfortably sleeps 19 guests in the bedrooms, (more with living room, sunroom couches and cots.

MASTER SUITE:
The Master Suite is located on the second story over a wing of the house and connects to the House by a hallway and door and a second story balcony. It has a separate private entrance via stairs from within the compound. The Master Suite has a bathroom with a large tiled shower, a large dressing area with a second sink/mirror, a kitchen, living room area, and a bedroom. Sliding glass doors along the entire west exposure, facing the garden, and large windows along the entire east exposure fill the apartment with light. Our Master Suite comfortably sleeps four to six with one bedroom (queen) and a pull-out futon double. Possibly 2 more guests could be accommodated with cots.

COTTAGE:
Our Cottage is a very large studio/efficiency. There is a large room with a cathedral ceiling and a separate bathroom with shower. The large room has a sleeping area, dining/sunroom area, and a kitchenette. The queen sized bed and queen sized fold-out couch will sleep four. Additional cots could accommodate a larger family. The cottage can comfortably sleep up to six persons. Light fills the cottage from a wall of windows to the east, a skylight, and other windows. The cottage is hidden in foliage....a jungle of tropical plants! With a cathedral ceiling, the warm glow of varnished pine paneling, 'heart of pine' wood floors, and a few oriental rugs, this is a very private and cozy place to stay.
